Energetics is fully accredited under the Lloyds Register Utility Assurance Schemes to design, build and connect, electricity, gas and water networks throughout the UK. Energetics’ network operator licences (granted by OFGEM) are for electricity as an IDNO (Independent Distribution Network Operator) and for gas as an IGT (Independent Gas Transporter).
National Electricity Registration Scheme (NERS)
Lloyds Register operate the National Electricity Registration Scheme (NERS) on behalf of the UK Distribution Network Operators (DNOs). Under the scheme, Lloyds perform technical assessments of Energetics for accreditation for contestable works associated with the installation of electrical connections. Gas Industry Registration Scheme (GIRS)
Lloyds Register operate the Gas Industry Registration Scheme (GIRS) on behalf of the UK Gas Transporters. Under the scheme, they perform technical assessments for accreditation, for work associated with the construction of new gas infrastructures operating up to 7 bar pressure. GIRS registered providers are able to undertake new gas connections, services alterations or disconnections, dependent on the scope of their accreditations.

Water Industry Registration Scheme (WIRS)
As part of an ongoing process to introduce competition in to the water services market, Lloyds register operates the Water Industry Registration Scheme (WIRS) on behalf of water utility companies. Under the scheme, Lloyds perform technical assessments for contestable works associated with the installation of water infrastructure.
As a multi-utility company, Energetics is accredited under WIRS and meets the required high standards to provide water connections under a self-lay agreement as part of our complete multi utility design and build solution to our customers. To see a copy of the certificate, please click here.
