“Not just the service, but the assistance that we received throughout the entire duration of this project has without any reservations been exceptional, 100% professional and critical in assisting Laing O’Rourke to complete a complicated project with phased handovers to suit the clients requirements. In addition, many external issues were inherited which required urgent resolution right from the outset, on these I have had the pleasure of working very closely with an Energetics Project Managers who has always been available to advise and assist whenever called upon and has no doubt been a major contributory factor in the success of this project.
Apart from being a first class services provider, we believe Energetics adopted, with enthusiasm, a partnership approach with Laing O Rourke which we believe is essential in maintaining excellent working relationships. Energetics has a ‘can do’ proactive attitude and we will be recommending the company and its staff.”

John Richmond, Building Services Manager, Laing O’Rourke Construction North

MediaCity UK
‘I can confirm that URS (then URS/Scott Wilson) where engaged by Peel to act as M&E Project Managers for MediaCity UK. I was the dedicated member of staff working directly for Peel for approximately 3 years; one of my main roles was to oversee the electrical infrastructure and utilities. URS are currently the custodians of MediaCity UK electrical infrastructure network model for the THD, Fault and Protection, we are still engaged by Peel as HV network designers.
I had a great deal of involvement with Energetics and Bovis Lend Lease in order to secure the handover of the infrastructure and arrange interface for connections. Energetics are the IDNO for the site and all of the Peel supplies for MediaCity UK. During my time on site I found Energetics to be thoroughly professional and delivered their infrastructure in a timely manner and achieved statutory compliance with ENW to ensure that the project was delivered on time and within cost plan constraints.’

Glasgow Business Park
“We contacted Energetics with a view to providing electrical supplies to our Clydesdale House development at Glasgow Business Park. Following our initial meeting, it was clear that Energetics had a commercial approach when compared to the institutionalised utility providers we were used to. Energetics quickly understood our needs and in fact ended up providing supplies to two development sites as the economies of scale suited both parties.
The design process was straight forward and it was refreshing to deal with a utility company that were proactive in resolving issues rather than the negative approach we had been used to. Costs were quickly agreed and these were more than favourable against costs on previous projects. We were also given the opportunity to make Interim Payments as work proceeded rather than the payment up front regime of old. On-site work progressed in line with the main contractors programme and where there were challenges these were dealt with and resolved timelessly by Energetics.
Based on their performance at these developments, we have already placed an order with Energetics for multi-utilities to our next development.”

Scott MacKinnon, Development Director, City Link Development Company
